around for over 160 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-medium-font-size wp-elements-5b266ac98657fcd0b8199c8c3cce0f21\">Located across the road from the beloved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nufc.co.uk\/stadium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">St James&#8217; Park<\/a>, its safe to say that non-Newcastle fans are not welcome here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"424\" mahogany tables and bannisters paired with the old football jerseys that were scattered about the place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" prepare for people who have a real craving for an intense pinball game on Naboo before the match starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img just in case you want a souvenir from this famous spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The pub also had an upstairs seating area to watch the game called &#8216;The Terrace&#8217;, which was where the atmosphere was most lively on the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" Everton and Newcastle fans have had a recent feud over which club is the biggest, so it was sure to have an electric atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In truth, the pub was emptier than had been expected. But chants were still being sung by the \u2018Toon Faithful\u2019 as they eagerly awaited the upcoming match. If you\u2019re a Newcastle fan and you watched the match, then you\u2019re probably reading this through teary eyes as you know what\u2019s about to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Everton dominated Newcastle for the majority of the game, with the Magpies only having a handful of chances throughout the 90 minutes. However, this may be due to the game being away at Goodison park instead of at St James&#8217; Park, which encourages more people to watch the game from the comfort of their own homes. But, from the fans that were present, its clear to see that the pub would be much louder for a big matchday taking place in Newcastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The pub\u2019s audience was also older than the previous pubs that have been reviewed by NUFC Pub Trips, but that shouldn\u2019t discourage younger people from visiting this popular place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Ratings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Atmosphere: 6\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Drinks Prices: 6.5\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Seating: 9\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Service: 7\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Danger (Higher= Safer): 5\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Safe to take an away fan (Higher= Safer): 0\/10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Overall: 5.6\/10 (If you\u2019re a Sunderland fan)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Thanks for reading.
