Break through psychological barriers: Cultivating a Growth mindset

Stepping out of the comfort zone is often accompanied by fear and unease, because the thought of leaving their familiar environment, people are easy to produce fear, anxiety and other emotions, and this psychological barrier is the biggest obstacle to stepping out of the comfort zone. So in order to achieve personal growth, the most important thing is to break this psychological barrier and get out of the psychological comfort zone.

A representative body for psychologists and psychology in the UK

We interviewed Junru Wang from the Technical University of Munich. He is an introvert who is used to living alone. He is always unable to open his closed heart to others, and he is anxious and afraid to go out of his small world. He felt that only in this small world could he feel secure. But because of this, he missed many opportunities in school and life. Situations like Junru’s are not uncommon in today’s society. So, in the face of unknown challenges, how can young people properly cultivate a growth mindset? We caught up with psychologist Dr Marilyn Aitkenhead via The British Psychological Society. She gives specific advice to young people in the same situation to help them get out of their psychological comfort zone.
