Hello, Welcome to my website! My name is Jessica Eve Gardiner and I’m a journalist studying at Newcastle university. Here you can explore articles, videos, interviews and more, produced and written by yours truly.

Since I can remember I’ve had a love for music, theatre, pop culture and fashion, when I was young I always loved playing dress up, one of my most beloved characters was a reporter I named ‘Sally Daily Armpit’, she covered a lot of high profile news as you can imagine. I used to dress as my favourite movie characters and dance around to whatever was on the radio and my dad’s CD collection, now I’m able to write about fantastic events and artists based in the North East! This space is going to focus on arts and culture in and around Newcastle Upon Tyne and what students and locals are loving in our community.

My upcoming project this Autumn will centre on fashion in Newcastle and Northumberland. I’ve lived in Northumberland my whole life, it’s a place packed with inspiration and stunning landscapes, but most creatives still look to London as the centre of art and fashion in Britain. Using this site I’m going to be covering events and artists in and around Newcastle and why they choose to create here.
