Known as NEVFEST, the event is organised by Farplace Animal Rescue<\/span><\/a> to raise funds for their animal welfare and rewilding programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NEVFEST\u2019s itinerary features talks from prominent vegan and environmental activists including Influencer Inga Lightley<\/a><\/span>, Activist John Awen<\/span><\/a> and Dalton Moor Farm<\/span><\/a> Representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Most famously, representatives from the Captain Paul Watson Foundation<\/span><\/a>, formerly Sea Shepherd UK, will be speaking on their name change and arrest of Captain Watson for radical anti-whaling action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whist unavailable for comment, Chief Operating Officer Rob Read called the split<\/span><\/a> from Sea Shepherd Global an \u201cexciting new chapter\u201d that ensures the group \u201cmaintains our independence in the UK\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In honour of World Vegan Month this November, other activists will shine a light on the small daily changes we can make to our diets to help save our planet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lightley, hosting talks on Myths on Canine Teeth <\/em>and Vegan Mayonnaise Recipes, <\/em>says she wants to help people \u201cstrive to mainly eat Whole Food Plant-Based for optimum health and vitality.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We need to end all this needless slaughter!”<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n As well as eco-friendly eating habits, activists like Awen and Newcastle Hunt Saboteurs<\/span><\/a> will speak on the links between animal cruelty and veganism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Awen, who describes himself as \u201ca concerned and compassionate member of the Human Race\u201d hopes to educate people on \u201canimal killing stats per year\u201d and \u201chow we need to end all this needless slaughter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alongside speakers at the festival, the event also has a roster of sponsors who will be visible around the venue. There will be opportunities to speak with representatives of the Newcastle Hunt Saboteurs, The Hectic Vegan Magazine<\/span> <\/a>and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Entry will be free for any Under 16s. Standard \u00a34 tickets are available both online and on the door for 10.30 am entry. You can also purchase a \u00a315 VIP ticket for an early 10 am entry and a donation goodie bag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Looking to the future, the organisers of NEVFEST will be hosting the Eaglescliffe Xmas Vegan Fair on December 14 at Eaglescliffe Community Centre.
