My name is Kelvin, I’m a 24-year-old male from Singapore. I am an avid car enthusiast. Growing up, my obsession with cars started in my family home’s living room. On the floor in front of the telly, sat me. I watched Rally Group B highlights and crash compilations through a CD player and a collection of strange yet fascinating shows revolving around motorsports. From watching old compilations of old Group B rally cars tearing up dirt courses halfway across the world, to being present at the first F1 Grand Prix races in Singapore, I was obsessed!
I was also a frequent watcher of the then-most-watched automotive program, a BBC television program called Top Gear. Hosted by personable automotive journalists and television personalities, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The show was something I found both immensely entertaining and informative and easily digestible.
