Multiple beauty brands launch Christmas Advent Calendars

To celebrate Christmas 2024 and capitalize on the holiday shopping surge, several beauty brands at Eldon Square in Newcastle launched limited edition Christmas Advent Calendar gift boxes in mid-November.

The brands like Clarins, Sephora, Lancôme and so on have displayed the gift boxes in prominent store locations and featured them on their official websites to attract more customer attention.

According to beauty brand websites, the Christmas Advent Calendar adventure begins on December 1st and runs until Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Sephora website shows that “each gift box contains 24 smaller boxes. Customers just open the small box with the day’s date, revealing a brand’s specially curated holiday surprise.” According to Lancôme website, it design a ‘grand finale gift’ for the last day of the advent calendar, December 24th, creating additional excitement and anticipation for customers.

Helen, a sales associate at Estée Lauder in John Lewis at Eldon square, said: “Our branded advent calendar is currently only available online and costs £275. Customers from various age groups come to purchase gift boxes. The design and products of the gift sets communicate the brand’s value to the customers.”

Helen further explained that the reason behind launching the advent calendar, “It can be summed up in one word —–value. The Christmas gift sets provide consumers with a sense of ritual and a festive atmosphere. Similarly, the exquisite packaging helps reinforce the brand’s value positioning.”

A sales associate of Sephora in John Lewis, who didn’t want to reveal her name, said, “Similar to how each flower possesses its own meaning, each brand’s Christmas gift set communicates its own unique language.”

Liz Chen, one of the customer of Sephora, said: “The design of these beauty brands’ Christmas gift sets reflects their unique identity. The gift boxes blend the festive spirit with the brand’s founding values and positioning, creating a style that is truly one-of-a-kind.”

According to Lancôme website:” As a French brand, Lancôme combines the most beautiful Parisian monuments with graceful rose elements, showcasing its brand positioning of French romance and refined elegance.”

Ivana Wu, a beauty enthusiast who regularly buys Christmas advent calendars, shared that these holiday gift boxes have become a customary aspect of her yearly festive purchasing. They are both practical and immersive, enveloping her in the vibrant festive ambiance.

She added that holiday gift boxes serve as a way of emotional expression. Whether displayed as house decorations or given as presents to family and friends, they evoke a sense of warmth and specialness during the festive season.
