Although the number of female entrepreneurs in the UK has increased in recent years, a significant gender gap remains

Gender Gap in UK Entrepreneurship Statistics
Only one in three UK entrepreneurs is a woman. The TEA rate (the proportion of the working-age population that participates in a TEA) in the UK is 15.1% for men and 10.7% for women. According to the latest data from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), female entrepreneurs in the UK will only account for 20% of all entrepreneurs in 2023. In the overall job market, the female employment rate is 71.6%, which is also lower than the 77.1% of men. These data reflect the many challenges faced by women in the process of entrepreneurship and employment.
