A brand-new original Greggs restaurant has launched inside Fenwick in the heart of Newcastle. Greggs and Fenwick have partnered to deliver the ultimate Greggs to Newcastle.
From December 1st until New Years’ Eve, this one-of-a-kind Bistro Greggs will be available inside Fenwick for customers to enjoy the ultimate festive experience.
After being dubbed the Greggs Capital of Britain by an analysis from The Chronicle Live, the chain has taken their branding to an entirely new level.

This partnership is not entirely new. Greggs reflected its logo onto Fenwick’s infamous Christmas windows back in 2018.

Combining the best-loved products of Greggs with a fresh fine-dining experience, the multi-course menu includes breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Greggs customer director Hannah Aquirrell told The Independent “the launch of Bistro Greggs marks a watershed moment as we take our first step with Fenwick into classic French-inspired fine dining”.
A Greggs Benedict, complete with sausage, bean & cheese melt, smoked ham, poached cacklebean eggs and hollandaise sauce is one of many fine dining breakfast options. As well as a £7.50 Full English with vegetarian and vegan variations, both at £7.
Classic items like the sausage roll are provided at a high-quality level. The roll is accompanied by piccalilli dressing, pickled carrots, cauliflower and cucumber for a more elegant meal for £4.50.

North East-inspired art hangs on the walls, with several illustrations depicting Greggs classics like the Jammie doughnut, as well as iconic landmarks like the Angel of The North.

The bistro has been praised for its’ affordable prices. Newcastle food blogger Kelly Leonard said “It’s a nice idea being in the heart of Newcastle, the menu offers a delightful variety at reasonable prices. The classic Greggs favourites are executed perfectly, some with roast potatoes and gravy, and the convenient location makes it a go-to spot for a satisfying yet reasonably priced lunch!”
Alcoholic drinks are also available. A speciality ‘Pink Jasmine Fizz’ cocktail has been introduced by Mother Mercy, inspired by Greggs’ iconic Pink Jammie doughnut. Guests can ring bells placed on each table if they wish to order it. As well as a selection of champagne, wine beer and cider.

The pop-up is decorated like a real five-star restaurant. Tabled are laid out in an upscale fashion, including the ‘Press for Pink Jasmine Fizz’ bell placed on each table. Most dishes are served under silver cloches as a string quartet plays renditions of modern chart-topping hits.
Mark Reid, Fenwick’s executive head chef, told The Shields Gazzette “Greggs in itself is an everyday treat and the goal was to try and elevate that treat further, verging on the decadent and indulgent with a nod to Christmas”.
