I am a student journalist at Newcastle University and I am using this website to be a home to a selection of investigative sport articles.

An obsessive football fan, and someone who often likes to dig deeper into the stories that the media force feed us, is what ultimately sparked this niche for me. As a northern boy and a devout Leeds United fan, I have been prone to seeing some controversy in my support. That is perhaps the largest factor in pushing my inquisitiveness in sport, in a mission to unveil how controversies, upsets and some horrific truths are hidden behind every door of the changing rooms, and in more recent events, the doors of PGMOL’s Stockley Park.

Whilst I am certainly someone who wouldn’t deny the inexplicable joy sport can bring to a community, I can also adopt a more pessimistic approach to look at the other end of the spectrum in how sport can crush personalities, individuals, families because of the infatuation that is so often symptomatic when being involved in sport.

I hope this website can satisfy those of you who may have adopted those similar tendencies to me, where there is a lack of acceptance for what is pushed across to us at surface level.
