Upcoming Conversational Coffee

Feeling social or fancy a brew?

If you’re looking for a good bit of socialising with a side of coffee, then this is just for you. Here are some upcoming social meetups for people with a hot coffee sweet tooth.

Coming up Sunday the 26th of October at Traders Coffee, Newcastle-upon-Tyne around 2:30pm, is a ‘Coffee and Conversation’ meetup run by the North East Culture and Communication group.

It is a free to attend event, (however beverages and food are not complementary and are subject to the coffee shop menu). Located next to ‘Kwik Tan’ and the Admiral Casino, near the Newcastle City Library.

The North East Culture and Communication group encourage you to feel free to stop by at any time to say hello, offering an opportunity to meet new people from the area, perfect for new residents and students alike.

Hosted by the Same community in a few weeks’ time on the 6th of November is a ‘Gals Gathering’ at the Flower Café, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, for snacks, coffee and a chatter. This is again a free to attend event excluding beverages and food. Located just past Greys Monument on Grainger Street in Newcastle City Centre.

Alternatively, held every Monday between 11am-1pm is ‘Coffee Mornings’ in Shieldfield, Newcastle at the Shieldfield Centre, hosted by the Newbridge Project. These coffee mornings are open to people working or residing in Shieldfield, in attempts to create an open and social environment and are offering free hot beverages and the events are free to attend.

If you’re a student looking for regular social coffee events and updates, check out Newcastle University’s Coffee Society on Instagram who hold café crawls, coffee events and socials all for a low membership fee.

Some meetups and social events to help make the darker and shorter days a tad bit brighter and warmer by meeting some new people from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and treating yourself to a good hot coffee. Be sure to join the North East Culture and Communications Group to either book or join their social events.
